My feel good smoothie recipe.
You all, I really truly do love smoothies. Especially in the morning. I get such an energy boost and I just feel so good. It feels like my body is saying thank you so much this was exactly what I needed!
Since I am on a mission to help busy moms feel good, I am always trying to see which ingredients go well together when blended because let’s be honest – sometimes that is the only way we get to eat. So why not make it delicious, nutritious and to-go?!
First, let me talk a little bit about adaptogens. Adaptogens have been a part of my diet for a very long time. I believe in them wholeheartedly. What are adaptogens? They are certain plants and mushrooms believed to help your body adapt to stress. These herbs and roots have been used for centuries in Chinese and Ayurvedic healing traditions.
I will dive deeper into adaptogens on a later post because there is so much to them than just adding them to your smoothie, and I am also very passionate about them.
Now on to the smoothie recipe. It is easy and quick so you can blend and GO.
*Always remember to buy as many organic ingredients as possible. Check the Dirty Dozen’s List to see which fruits and vegetables have the most pesticides. Pesticides are linked to cancer and neurological disorders. Spinach is almost always on this list so if there is one to start with – it’s spinach.
Feel Good Smoothie Recipe
1 PACKET/SCOOP OF BALANCE BLEND ADAPTOGEN MIX by Four Sigmatic
1 CUP OF ALMOND MILK
½ CUP OF BLUEBERRIES
1 BIG HANDFUL OF FROZEN BANANAS
½ CUP OF FROZEN CAULIFLOWER RICE
1 HEAPING TABLESPOON RAW ALMOND BUTTER
1 BIG HANDFUL OF FRESH OR FROZEN SPINACH
–Place all ingredients in the blender.
–Enjoy! Especially on those days that you need a little extra something because you just want to feel good.
