This healthy milkshake recipe base is so versatile and delicious, you will want to memorize the whole recipe to make it over and over again.

If you are a part of my newsletter, this week you received a chocolate mylkshake recipe straight to your inbox.

Let’s face it, most of us love something sweet.

So I wanted to leave everyone with a milkshake base that you can then add your favorite flavor to it. No matter what it is. Chocolate, strawberries, or simply just vanilla. This base can be used with whichever flavor you prefer.

Children love these milkshakes. They can make it with you and you can rest in peace knowing that the ingredients are nourishing them, versus, not doing anything for them at all.

The main ingredients are:

Frozen bananas. What is there not to love about bananas? They are sweet and have potassium, vitamin B6, Vitamin C, magnesium, copper, and manganese. They are even included in the BRAT diet when you are sick. You seriously can’t ever go wrong with bananas.

Hemp seeds. I talk about hemp seeds a lot because they should be a staple in every kitchen. They are incredibly nutritious. They are exceptionally rich in fatty acids, protein, vitamins and minerals.

Almond milk or milk of preference. I prefer almond milk. It is heart healthy with lots of antioxidants. Unsweetened almond milk also does not raise blood sugar levels.

Coconut milk ice cubes. The secret to making an extra creamy healthy milkshake. Full-fat coconut milk that is. Coconut milk has iron (which our children need) and essential vitamins. The MCT fats in coconut milk may benefit metabolism and body composition.

Maple syrup. Provides at least 24 antioxidants. So yes, you can eat pure maple syrup. It is high in sugar so always be mindful.

Vanilla extract. Vanilla extract may have antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties due to being rich in vanillin. Another staple that should be in every kitchen especially for baking.

Healthy Milkshake Recipe

If you want chocolate healthy milkshake: add 1 heaping tbsp of cacao powder.

If you want a strawberry healthy milkshake: add 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries.

If you want a vanilla healthy milkshake: leave as is.

This milkshake recipe is delicious and does not compromise your health.

Exciting news. My self-love masterclass is back! It will be on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at 8:00 PM ET.

I know for parents, 8:00 PM is usually the best time to have time to sit down after their children go to bed. If you are in a different time zone, let me know, so I can plan accordingly next time.

This self-love masterclass is perfect for:

Remember, the self-love you gain, will always pour out into your own children too.

This will lead to children who know how to love themselves and know their worth.

Life update

A topic that has been forefront in my mind has been finances and death. I know, very unsexy.

I need to be better at finances. Especially with monthly expenses. Something I have known for so long but quickly forget is that ‘if you do not fully pay your credit card every single month, you can’t afford it.’

Last year, I went all out in spending. I held back for so many years that I think I just unleashed for an entire year. There has got to be a happy medium. Depriving is not the answer. Spending money like it is hot, is not the answer either obviously. I’m very balanced in all areas of my life, so now I know I need to take that approach with money as well.

Back to budgeting we go. Spreadsheets are so boring but my goodness do they really create some structure in your life.

The other topic is death. Lately, the reality that we are not immortal has really been sinking in. We can die at any second so we can’t be afraid of it. Everyday is such a gift.

If you are a parent, it is especially important to have a plan set in place for your children in case something were to ever happen.

To end it on a positive note – I was on a podcast this morning! I can’t wait until it airs so that you can all hear it.

Hope you have the best weekend!
