No stress apple snack that you can take with you wherever you go.

One of the hardest parts about starting a healthy lifestyle is the limited resources you have on the go.

The food options are simply just terrible.

It can make it hard to stay on track and consistent with your health goals. Which can be quite stressful.

Making snacks for yourself will really set you up for success in the long-term.

It might seem like a nuisance at first, but once you get into the rhythm of it, it definitely gets easier.

Making your own snacks gives you so much power over your health, vs the food industry being in charge.

That is why I will keep sharing snack ideas that require no stress and just a couple of ingredients.

No Stress Apple Snack

  1. Slice apple.
  2. Pour sunflower butter all over. Or pour in a small bowl on the side.
  3. Sprinkle hemp seeds.

If you are taking it on the go:

So why would you want to eat this no stress apple snack?

Here is why.

Apples – provide whole-foods carb and fiber among many other minerals. The whole reason why the phrase “1 apple a day keeps the doctor away” is because apples have high levels of antioxidants, which may provide heart-healthy and cholesterol-lowering benefits. While also protecting your brain.

Sunflower seed butter – great alternative for anyone with a nut allergy. It has less saturated fat than any other nut butter. Contains Vitamin E, protein, healthy fats, and magnesium. I became hooked on sunflower seed butter once we had to start buying it for my son’s nut free school.

Hemp seeds – these tiny seeds are a powerhouse when it comes to nutrition. They are rich in protein, Vitamin E and minerals. Helps with digestion, may help reduce PMS symptoms, and may reduce your risk of heart disease.

Fun fact:

When fruit is eaten alone, it is digested quickly and can cause blood sugar spikes. Leaving you hungry for more, quickly thereafter. When you pair a fruit with a healthy fat and protein, you lower your hunger hormones, control your blood sugar and will feel satisfied for longer.

This is especially important if you have diabetes.

Also, important for your children, so they do not ask for another snack 30 minutes later. They can stay engaged and in a good mood.

Give this no stress apple snack a go, when you are on the go and let me know what you think! If you’ve had it before (which I am sure you have) this is just a friendly reminder of how delicious it is 🙂

Thanks and happy you are here.
